- 3 cups cooked sushi rice
- 2 cups imitation crab meat shredded
- 1 cup Japanese mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
- 1/4 cup sriracha sauce optional for spice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup furikake Japanese rice seasoning
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 sheet nori seaweed, cut into strips
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds optional
Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and let it heat up.
Layer the Rice: Spread the cooked sushi rice evenly in a baking dish. Sprinkle half of the furikake seasoning over the rice for added flavor.
Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded imitation crab meat, Japanese mayonnaise, softened cream cheese, and sriracha (if you like it spicy). Mix until well combined.
Add the Filling: Spread the crab mixture evenly over the rice layer in the baking dish.
**Top with Cheese**: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and the remaining furikake over the crab mixture.
Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, golden, and bubbly.
7.Garnish: Once baked, remove the dish from the oven and let it cool slightly. Top with strips of nori and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for extra crunch and flavor.
